Carrigan Crittenden (Cathy Moriarty) is the main antagonist of the 1995 family film "Casper".
Carrigan inherits the dilapidated Whipstaff Manor after her father passes away. She is initially enraged that the property is condemned, but quickly changes her tune once she learns that there is a treasure hidden there. The only problem is that the building is haunted by three ghosts; Stretch, Fatso and Stinky.
After various failures to rid the spooks from the place, she seeks the help of James Harvey, an "afterlife therapist". Carrigan and her partner Dibbs watch James and his daughter Kat from afar while they work, pondering all the while of how they can obtain the treasure. They find their solution once the titular ghost, Casper, reveals that his father had invented a machine which can bring the dead back to life.
Carrigan quickly plots to murder Dibbs, so that he can fly through walls in his "ghost" form and then retrieve the treasure. He, on the other hand, is not too fond of her idea, and attempts to get away, ultimately leading to Carrigan falling to her death after crashing her car into a tree at the edge of a cliff.
It is theorized that Carrigan would have been able to seduce Dibs into dying for her, had she been in a mini skirt and high heels. If she had failed however, her high heels would ironically only hinder her plan, as they would sound even louder than the heels she had on when she slipped on he brown slop Dibs was dumping, leading to her flailing out the window. A mini skirt would have also made her death much more humiliating, in that not only did she not "look before she lept", but also while falling off the cliff to her death Dibs would have been blessed with a wonderful up-skirt of her pussy and ass as she plummeted to her death as his final vision of her.
Now a ghost herself, Carrigan retrieves the chest as planned, but rather than bring her back to life, Dibbs turns on her; claiming that he will keep the prize for himself, after all the abuse he's had to suffer. Of course, Dibbs fails to realize the difference in power between ghosts and humans, and then is (presumably fatally) punched out of a window by Carrigan. The villainess gloats about her victory, but then succumbs to a trick by Casper, who inquires about her "unfinished business". Carrigan snaps that she has none, and then is forced to cross over against her will.
