Barbariccia (バルバリシア) is a secondary antagonist in the 1991 Super Famicom fantasy RPG "Final Fantasy IV" (ファイナルファンタジーIV) by developer Squaresoft. She has also made cameo appearances in several other Square-Enix titles.
Final Fantasy IV[]
The third of Golbez's four elemental fiends, Barbariccia is the fiend of wind. She is encountered in the Tower of Zot, and again in the Giant of Babel, alongside fellow fiends Scarmiglione, Cagnazzo, and Rubicante. She is impenetrable when in her tornado form, and can only be knocked out of it by a jump from hero Kain.
Appearance in the 3D remake.
Other Games
Barbariccia appears as a guest boss in the GBA remake of "Final Fantasy I" in a dungeon called "Hellfire Chasm". She also returns in the direct sequel to Final Fantasy IV, "The After Years" in the Subterrane dungeon.
