Liz Hamilton (Paula Trickey) is the secondary villainess of the 2013 Lifetime film The Cheating Pact (airdate September 28, 2013). She was the mother of Kylie Hamilton, the wife of Greg Hamilton, and also had an older daughter named Kathleen, who was attending Yale at the time of the movie.
Liz was shown to be a strict parent when it came to grades, as shown in her first appearance of the movie by her hounding Kylie for scoring poorly on her College Entrance Test and for not measuring up academically with Kathleen. Liz went behind Kylie's back and signed her up for an upcoming retake, much to her daughter's dismay. Later on, while Kylie was bathing, Liz informed her that if she didn't get into college, she would be forced to move out and start supporting herself.
Liz learned that Kylie had hired classmate Meredith Porter to take her College Entrance Test for her, as well as for her best friend Heather Marshall and boyfriend Jordan Coleman, and had also killed the girl after she intentionally failed her exam when she found the ID cards Meredith used to take the tests in Kylie's bedroom. After confronting Kylie and learning everything from her, the evil Liz lied to the police and claimed that Kylie was at home with Jordan at the time of Meredith's death. She also burned the ID cards to completely cover her daughter's tracks. Nonetheless, given that Liz coldly rejects her daughter's offer of a hug after the encounter with the police, it can be inferred that Liz was doing this to protect her own image rather than out of a desire to protect her daughter.
When Heather became a suspect in Meredith's murder, Liz went along with the suspicion and was unresponsive to Heather's mother Brenda when she came to talk to her. During the film's climax, after Kylie had stabbed Jordan while he and Heather were confronting her and Heather had been arrested when it appeared she had committed the act, Kylie locked herself in a bedroom and only allowed for her mother to enter the room. Liz told Kylie that there was no way Jordan would turn her into the police and that they were going to stay quiet and allow Heather to be arrested as Meredith's killer and Jordan's assailant, coldly unsympathetic to the prospect of Heather being arrested for a crime she hadn't committed. But when she and Kylie came out of the room, Brenda pleaded to Kylie to tell the truth, eventually resulting in Kylie making a full confession to the police. It is never revealed if Liz faced charges for her actions as well.
- Liz is similar to Claire Werner from Accused at 17; both of them are wealthy women who try to help their villainous daughters get away with the murder of a classmate (though in Claire's case, she tries to help Fallyn get away with two murders).
- Paula Trickey later portrayed evil cult leader Marty Fowler from the 2014 Lifetime film Crimes Of The Mind.
